Genetic Alliance Registry and BioBank (GARB) is a centralized, clinical data registry and sample repository that enables translational research. It is shared infrastructure that operates as a cooperative venture, extensible and responsive to the needs of the nonprofits engaged in the endeavor. Leaders in the disease research advocacy field founded Genetic Alliance Registry and BioBank in 2003. It was based on a proof of concept, single condition bank that has operated with excellent outcomes since 1995.
